Editor's Verdict: Boomerang.co.uk has a strong range of game titles to choose from, covering most of the major consoles, all of which can be viewed from the tabs at the top of the website. The website itself is pretty flash, displaying the choices you can make with hi-tech, robotic graphics, but doesn't create enough visual clutter to confuse you. The site, like the service, is quite simple and easy to navigate, and is split into distinct sections. You don't get much in terms of bells and whistles, but you get what you need: lists of all the different titles, the member section which includes your Pipeline or play-list, and a web-feed providing up-to-date information on the newest releases and announced released dates. Boomerang uses "The Pipeline" as a means keeping track of the games you'd like to rent. In order to add a game to your Pipeline, you just need to search for the game you want to rent, or choose it from one of the genre categories, and click "rent now." If the game you want hasn't been released yet, click "reserve now." Once you have a few games in your pipeline, (and it's recommended that you have at least 5-10 different titles,) boomerang will send you your first game. You get to keep the game for as long as you like, and when you feel like returning it, simply place it back in the pre-paid mailer, and post it back to Boomerang. As soon as they receive your returned game, boomerang will send you another title from your Pipeline, depending upon the availability. There are a number of different packages you can choose from, based on your game-rental needs. These range from the Value package, the most basic option, with two games per month and only one title at a time, to the Unlimited Priority package, which not only gives you unlimited rentals at two games at a time, but also grants you priority on the extremely popular new releases. This is a very interesting feature of boomerang.co.uk, and means you are able to get newly released games before they run out of stock: When a hot new title is released, if you're not on the Priority package, there is a chance that you will not be able to rent the game before boomerang exhausts its supply, but if you pay a little more on the premium package, you need not take that risk. The priorities also apply to game availability. Each game is assigned a color depending on its demand. If the "Rent Now" button is green, it means demand is reasonable, yellow means demand is quite high, and red means that demand for that title is high. In practice, this system means that games with a green availability are your best bet in terms of getting them sent to you straight away, as you might have to wait for higher demand choices, but again, joining as a Priority package member would stack the odds of getting the high demand choices as soon as possible, in your favor.
