Editor's Verdict:

Judging by their website, Postadvd looks like an amazing DVD & Games online rental service. Unfortunately, for gamers, the odds are definitely not in their favor (with just 150 titles to choose from!).. Most gamers will end up being disappointed with an otherwise exceptional online rental service.

From a global perspective, Postadvd have a brilliant website, with excellent options. They provide a huge number of films and dvds for rental, as well as a number of PS2 and Xbox games. Like other rental sites, Postadvd members use a "wish list" in order to get the games and films they want. You simply need to search or browse the website until you find titles that you want to rent, select them, and they are automatically added to your wishlist.

Once you have a few items in your wishlist, Postadvd will immediately dispatch all the available titles, up to the number allowed on your membership subscription, based upon the priority you have given them. The 'Priority' shows the preferred order in which you want to receive your games and films, with the higher priority items more likely to be sent out first, and the lower priority titles being left until the high priority ones are not available.

Titles are then sent via first-class post to you, each in a pre-paid envelope of there own. Once you get bored of them, or just fancy a change, simply put them back in the pre-paid mailer and put it in the post, no stamps, or postage fees necessary! There's no rush of course; you are able to keep the titles as long as you like as there are no due dates or late fees. However, you must remember that once you've reached your rental cap, Postadvd will be unable to dispatch further titles from your wishlist until they receive ones you've sent back, so it's best not to sit on them!

The website at Postadvd.com is pretty jam-packed with information and rankings. There are many top lists and recommendations for films you should watch, and for movies you simply can't miss. There are also lists for new releases, films that are due to be released soon, as well as lists covering different moods and situations, like "Want to cry?" and "Want to laugh?" This is a nice touch. It doesn't add a great deal but it can come in handy if you're at a loss as to what to rent next.

Postadvd also have a Loyalty point scheme, that has been recently introduced. When you return a DVD or game, you net 1.5 points, and if you write a review on the title, you'll gain 0.5 points. These points can be built up until you have 250 points, at which point you can "cash" them in for a £20 voucher, good stuff!

Unfortunately, for all their website security, swift service, prompt customer support and excellent DVD title range, the games section of the site is rather pathetic. Only stocking games for the outdated PS2 and Xbox consoles, they only have a library of around 150 games, miniscule for a games-rental service. It can be expected that service will suffer, as there isn't a huge amount of choice to choose from, resulting in alot of clashes, and reduced availability, meaning the customer has to wait longer. The lack of diversity also means it doesn't cater for the nintendo-crowd, but also that the majority of games are simply not available, let alone in stock, effectively ruining an all-in-all excellent service, in the eyes of gamers.

Postadvd is a brilliant service, but is let down by their tiny games availability, and would do better to not provide them at all! That being said, if they only expanded their collection, their site would be second to none, with amazing prices and great support. But who knows, maybe those 150 games are the ones you want to play, no harm in checking, especially with the free trials they offer, so click the link below and check out Postadvd today!
